Tout lets you share your life with the world, 15 seconds at a time
Today I was introduced to Tout, a new social network centered around video sharing. The basis of the site is to bring your social network to life. Instead of 140 character Tweets or Facebook updates, users upload 15 second videos to Tout. It’s as simple as downloading the Tout app on your smart phone, setting up an account, and you will be ‘Touting’ within 2 minutes.
What’s so special about it?
The first thing I did on Tout.com was click on ‘Today’s Touts’. This takes you to a live-stream of Touts from around the world. Videos are added to the stream as they are uploaded. By viewing videos instantly, it gives you this amazing feeling of experiencing life around the world with others. This is the most intriguing part of Tout, as we can now see what people around the world are experiencing at the exact moment we are.
While this doesn’t replace Twitter, it sure adds life to our social network experience. I’m hoping Tout catches on, and we begin to bring our lives to a whole new level of connectivity.
